General online game feedback

It would be nice to get some approximate info how long an on-going online race will take. Include at least info like Current lap / Max lap and Current time / Fastest lap. A few guys race took about 12 minutes. I couldn't see how may laps still remaining so I just waited. It's actually too many laps ...

I like the idea of multipurpose shield being able to also use it as an offensive attack. Ramming opponent with a frontal shield or him hitting your back shield, would make him lose control.

I think for online tournament it's probably best to start with Race, Elimination and Death Match divided by Ranked and Non-Ranked (Quick Matches). Then possible have a lobby system to customize race options beyond non-standard settings. You might be correct that mini-tournaments mode may not work we...

I was able to test split screen mode yesterday with a friend and had lots of fun with it. Maybe next time I get those other 2 invited to join and hopefully by then 4 players split screen support is implemented (well probably not that soon). Though I'm not completely sure if GTX570 is able to handle ...

Yes, but before it was not possible to pick up another shield even if you had one activated. At least it never happened to me. Due to EMP effect my shield was momentarily down and thus I was able to pick up another.

You're right that if player has selected 2 player split screen and user has only connected keyboard and one gamepad, then other would use keyboard and the other gamepad. But if 2 controllers were plugged in or playing single player game, the current input logic should remain.

For me the current controller support logic works perfectly: 1st player with keyboard and gamepad, 2nd player with gamepad.
When the issue gets fixed, I hope the 1st player is not forced to play on keyboard.

Elimination mode is so much fun! Hope death match mode gets an inside only area added at some point. The current areas are very samey. Transport area might be a good fit for this with all the tubes. Of course climbing the tubes at slow speed is still a challenge with the current physics implementati...

The song changing mid-race could be given as an option (instead looping as of now). I would personally hope that every race track had a song tied to them by default. This provides a race track more personality. Of course setting the song to random (like now) or custom should be allowed too.

Sorry Chris. I just don't seem to be fan of visual effects added for this build. They slightly annoy me - especially the glitching HUD.
