PS4 platinum trophy

Hey, now that we have the official announcement for the PS4 version, is that version going to have a platinum trophy? I do most of my gaming on PS4 and I'm a bit of a trophy hunter, so having a platinum in the game will be really cool and I know sometimes things get iffy with platinum trophies. If t...

Re: Merry Christmas to the GRIP dev team :D

Forgot to reply to the email so I'll leave a message here. Rollcage stage 2 was one of the first games I got when I got my PS1. I had soooooo much fun playing it for hours and hours. Since it's a game that for various reasons doesn't come up in discussions about games of that era, I wasn't aware tha...

Really liking this update. Generally, the handling feels more predictable without feeling dumbed down. The new lighting is also really pretty, especially on wastes. Did you guys also do extra optimisation work? It feels like it runs better too.

Re: Weapon Suggestion: Ice Blast

It could be an oil slick instead of ice. Same effect, but it fits the aesthetic and logic of the game world a bit better

Re: !!!NEED TESTERS TODAY!!! - 1.0.7 Feedback

So, my thoughts are about 1.0.7 and a few other random things that work better as one post instead of being spread across threads The handling in 1.0.7 feels great. The high sensitivity definitely feels best. At low speed and at high speed. Feels really responsive. It must be really hard balancing h...

Re: Position tracker (lefts hand side of the screen)

A position tracker like in XGRA would make sense too. It just had the track as a line and showed where on the track everyone was https://i.ytimg.com/vi/mahixtu6n5Y/maxresdefault.jpg It's the line on the right in that picture. Between the lap counter and speedo. Also shows your lap progress.

Re: 1.06 Thoughts

Honestly, I like how it feels now. The car feels more driveable. I'm having more fun with this one than I have with previous versions. Sticking landings is still a bit iffy, but collisions are a lot better now. It feels like I'm fighting the other cars and their weapons as opposed to just my own car...

Re: Public Early Access scheduled for the 2nd of February

When this comes out on public early access, can/will there be a post on the original kickstarter page? I'm sure there are people there that didn't switch over to the forums here. Maybe a post on reddit as well to raise some awareness?

Re: 1.05 first thoughts

My biggest gripe is how crashing into the back of a vehicle slows you down and spins you. It can feel like getting punished because someone else got hit. Haven't had a bunch of time to get to grips (wa-hey!) with the rest of the stuff, but the new HUD looks good. I also must say I kinda prefer the o...

Re: Announcer

At the very least, having a voice over say the weapon you've just picked up would be nice. Wipeout does it and it helps having a little audio cue in addition to the symbols when stuff gets a little hectic.

Lenovo y510 i7 laptop

I actually had a much worse laptop and then some stuff happened then I got a huge upgrade. Went from a laptop that couldn't crack 25 fps on Witcher 2 to one that can crack 60. Specs: ⋅ Win 10 ⋅ GTX 755M ⋅ i7 47000MQ 2.40GHz ⋅ 8 gb DDR3 ⋅ ??? PSU Sett...

Re: Controller Setup - What (if anything) would you change?

The layout for Blur is really good and it could potentially allow for more weapon slots. It would be ideal if we could customise the layouts ourselves though.

haha. I was playing split-screen. I'd be mighty surprised if people still played it online. It holds up well actually. It also had a pretty elegnat way of letting you carry three weapons at the same time, which I saw someone suggest somewhere else on this forum.

Re: [LISTED] Killcam / additional feedback when taking out opponents

Played Blur again recently and it has the feature that shows you hit someone with a weapon. It might also be cool if you were told whose weapon you were just hit by. It would add a revenge factor.

Damn, hearing those F1 engines makes me miss the sound of those old V10s and V8s. The current ones aren't bad, they just don't sound special like the older ones.

Re: Cockpit view

Different HUDs for different manufacturers would be cool. But then there might be a situation where one likes a certain manufacturer but prefers another manufacturer's HUD. Maybe have HUDs a customisable option down the line? Like NFS Underground 2.

Navy blue and white would be pretty cool. Dodge Viper style. Or maybe even neon green and black.

Here's video of the playground section from Motorstorm RC https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NINaezsMCp8 The basketball hoop is on the top of a quarter pipe. Actually, skateboard-style half pipes, quarter pipes and megaramps might be cool things to have as well. Maybe even a GRIP long jump :p

Re: Will it have potato support?

I play most of my games on PS4, so my laptop isn't stellar, but it is serviceable. I want to play GRIP on PS4 obviously, but I'll also buy the early access version because I want to support the developers and...well...play the game. So even if it runs at 0.5 frames a second on my laptop, I wont be t...

Re: Will it have potato support?

I know about changing those settings. It's just that some games don't pick up the dedicated card even after doing that. If it is an Unreal Engine thing then an engine that widely used and scalable shouldn't have an issue. I guess I can only know for sure when we can play the early access build...whi...
