Yes, all the new wow stuff, so glamorous, much nice, etc.
As the owner of a toaster though, I appreciate the much less thankful performance optimization work.
Maybe I won't need a new machine to enjoy the finished game after all. ;)

Re: GRIP Private Multiplayer testing is now underway!!

snip *shrug* That was almost 10 years ago though. :D Still, the most recent high profile games that I can think of, that I played and ran well, were Mad Max, Soma and Rainbow Six Siege. Not that bad. On the other hand the new Doom demo ran at 1 frame every few seconds, the Lawbreakers alpha or Insu...

Re: GRIP Private Multiplayer testing is now underway!!

This is a good spot to add that sometimes when I quit Grip, Steam will think it's still running, forever, until I force stop Steam itself. Don't know what's that about, doesn't happen with other games, not a big deal anyway. When this happens to me I kill the music player in task manager :) But it ...

Re: GRIP Private Multiplayer testing is now underway!!

Your issues with the build after the latest patch are pretty bizarre though, as no one has encountered them yet. Made a note of them. What are your PC specs again? I thought I'd have nothing to lose trying to reinstall the game from scratch. So I deleted the local content and re-downloaded. And mul...

Re: GRIP Private Multiplayer testing is now underway!!

Sadly I can't say I've had the positive experience you all seem to be having. Earlier in the day, with low population, I managed to get into a couple of races against few opponents, but playing online axed the game's performance. Like more than halving it, dropping it to an average FPS lower than 20...

Re: Decorative Customisation!

I know it's not the dark ages of internet anymore, but I'd rather not download a bunch of custom textures every time I join a race. Then again... swim swim hungry.

Ok then, so when multi comes out, there's gonna be a lobby for old people, where we can drive safely away from you young and insane(ly good) people, right?

Re: GRIP Update 1.0.10 now available on Steam Private branch!

Aw yeah, nicely done Rob. Just a few races, but it's immediately apparent that scraping paint with the other cars behaves closer to what you'd expect going in. Other subtleties I didn't notice, it's been a while since I went for a spin (life has been a blur since Dark Souls 3 came out). I like the w...

Re: GRIP Update 1.0.9 is on Steam!

I don't get the point of restricting it if it's just "command line" stuff that are not supposed to be integrated in the game. I mean, as a player, if you write something in command line, then you know that what you're doing is not what is intended, and you know that there might be unexpec...

Re: GRIP Update 1.0.8.2 is on Steam (Private branch)!

Vehicles can now accelerate in mid air due to the rear jet thrust. Be careful! Is that what's really going on? I've been doing some deliberate testing by use of turbo boosts and handbrake, flinging the car in the air so as to have the jet thrusters facing 90° sideways in midair, but the car doesn't...

Most of the more immediate reactions have already been covered (Roq, you powertester you). I agree with, uh, Roq, on the "Randomize" button. I love how mirrored tracks screw with you, and eventually, when all is said and done, I strongly feel we need to be able to generate a random playlis...

I hope I'm not getting too annoying though. I just want the best for the game >_<. This goes for every one of us I'm sure. Where some would see negativity and critique, I see deep passion for an awesome game! Remember, this hurts us more than it hurts you. No, wait... We're only hurting you because...

Re: !!!NEED TESTERS TODAY!!! - 1.0.7 Feedback

Still hate the UI style :P Yes, that menu has to go. I was gonna wait to complain about that later in development when higher priority work was done, but this last update changed my mind. Especially this early in the cycle, when we're gonna go back and forth racing and changing various combinations...

Whoa, playing on Easy\Low feels as if the cars were flux pinned to the track. Medium Sentivity feels nice, as well as does the snappy maneoverability of High Sensitivity when having to recover... from spinning out due to how delicate it is (and I definitely don't have enough sensibility to fine tune...

Re: Things that you would like to be changed or added in the next update.

I'm looking at it from the pragmatical and quality of life angle: the removal of the background video in the main menu. It absolutely murders my CPU and brings the pc down to a stuttery crawl when youtubeing multitasking; Alt+F4 to work during races as well. Extras for hugs: borderless fullscreen; F...
