Re: SLI and Crossfire Support

Actually Crossfire works perfectly in AFR compatible and 1x1 modes with following settings: ⋅ Turn off TXAA ⋅ Turn off PostProcessing ⋅ Tone down Special Effects ⋅ Tone down Shadows Quality First three are obvious as they use previous frames to anti-alias, blu...

Re: SLI and Crossfire Support

BUMP! I've put 2nd Radeon R7 260X into my rig and tried to force Crossfire in GRIP - it works, but in "AFR friendly" mode there's flickering, which disappears in more intelligent 1x1 and "AFR compatible" modes, but then in turn there's terrible microstutter even with Frame Pacing...

Xtigma - Crash City download?

As far as I'm aware my tier doesn't include OST, is there a way to legally download that track? Or purchase? Or eventually upgrade tier?

Re: Stream of thoughts after 1st quick play

There are no real aids/assists happening with the driving, it's all real physics dude. We haven't specifically done any, that is (other than what Queadah mentioned). It's hard to know what you're referring to without video explanation. Could you record some footage? Unlikely... I'll try to elaborat...

Re: Stream of thoughts after 1st quick play

Enormous patch. Lllots of loveable things except: ⋅ Driving assistance is annoying. It feels like bumpy terrain is fake, like there's an underlying smooth layer that we're driving on - sometimes car even clips inside the terrain. Cars stop on collisions, Newton laughs in his grave! Cars fe...

Re: Stream of thoughts after 1st quick play

Id rather say that our sky is blue because of its chemical composition, which filters most of the sun's scattered light spectrum with exception of blue. Chlorophyll evolved to be green because then it absorbs blue & red portions of light most efficiently. Green atmosphere would need some other c...

Pretty sure you can. But I won't be changing the look back on Transport.

So we have monarchy, not democracy here? That's good.

I begin to wonder if the grass would be able to do photosynthesis with that green sky. Maybe it would evolve blue or red chlorophyll?

Re: Stream of thoughts after 1st quick play

After today playing session I must admit that handling is really good, we're already getting close to RC1 quality. My top dream now is less understeer and it would be nearly perfect.

Re: Stream of thoughts after 1st quick play

-Transport looked boring as hell before, IMO. That's why I made it look more alien. -Air control is coming at some point, so I can't really comment on this yet -We didn't change anything to do with AA between 1.0.9 and 1.0.10.1 You think it would be easier to have to look at two spots on the screen...

Re: Stream of thoughts after 1st quick play

Ok, then I vote for blue sky on the Transport track and green on all the other tracks of Liddo :P

Re: Stream of thoughts after 1st quick play

Yeah I like the idea of unusual skies too, just not on that beautiful track that is so grassy and sunny, it asks for vivid blue sky. Green sky seems to be fitting some swampy poisonous planet.

Re: Stream of thoughts after 1st quick play

Thanks for the patch, lots of great things, but as usual I'll focus on the ones that feel bad: ⋅ Understeer, I think there was never so much understeer yet. It seems to be possible to drift with handbrake now indeed, but otherwise the car barely turns even on medium speeds. It could be lik...

Re: Stream of thoughts after 1st quick play

Tough luck with AA. But it's not a big deal, most Unreal engine games including GRIP don't suffer very much from aliasing - I can play without AA. It's great news that there will be audio engine overhaul, I won't be bothering you about it until it's done (and then hopefully there will be no need to)...

Re: Stream of thoughts after 1st quick play

My 5yo alpha testing report part II: He somehow managed to put the car on its side. To my surprise he was able to almost normally (with steering and stuff) drive it like that for ~10-20 seconds, then something bumped it back on the wheels. This arises a question: are you actually simulating the cont...

Re: Stream of thoughts after 1st quick play

UE4 doesn't support MSAA. What about SSAA? You'd have to be ware of the blurring too though, I personally don't know what causes it - in some games SSAA isn't blurry (Rollcage Redux for example), but in many others it is as blurry as those post-processing AA methods. I'd greatly appreciate some AA ...

Re: Monsters on track

Need intelligence for the AI to avoid these obstacles as well Right, didn't think about it. [list][*]riding partly inside the rotten corpse of a giant monster !! A path leading to a large cut in the belly, we would "wall ride" inside the ribcage like a huge organic tunel, on the backbone,...

Re: Monsters on track

Yes it would surely need some additional work, I see it as something low priority to be eventually done after everything else, or even as a DLC. And I think that it wouldn't be much more work than meteors or trains in RC1 - I don't see these monsters wandering around - they would be stationary and s...

Re: I do not enjoy anymore

Yesterday I was going to post something similar to Polarity - I was frustrated how laggy the input is, how heavy the cars feel, how much inertia there is, how the collisions suck, and how I can't win on Easy anymore even with Dominator. And then I almost halved the game's resolution (which was 2048x...

Monsters on track

Hey how about adding some monsters to the tracks? They could serve as a little annoyances like falling meteors in RC1. Do you know tentacle from HalfLife? There could be a huge pit next to a bend on some rocky/volcanic track, from where tentacle-like creature would bash around erratically possibly h...
