I was always thinking that the Norvos should have a volcano level, the track would gradually shift from icy mountains to volcanic caves. It could also work on Liddo5 or even Orbital prime, racing around a geothermal plant deep inside the planet would be pretty cool.

+1 on all of those suggestions. Here's a gif that i think captures the look & feel of what the track should have. Maybe with less spaceships and more futuristic heavy industry buildings and equipment.

I'm guessing they haven't added those yet purely because of all of the work towards the engine/multiplayer/bugfixes. But yeah enviroment FX should be added in since there are some (weird) people out there that play the game without music.
