Re: Patch 1.2.7 Feedback

Unlike many of our friends here, i kinda liked the EMP as it was at first. The new Disruptor is really nice with it's visual effect, but i haven't had enough time to play lately to see if i like it more or less than the EMP. The rest of the game has really improved nicely. More and more nice stuff i...

Re: Attol Track Feedback

I really love what you did with this track as well (eventhough the glass tunnel on the old version did look nice), the ramp with tight turn at the beginning is really great.
And for the tanker wreck well... it's just an amazing idea! I really like the way you're modifying this track. ;)

Re: With our thanks

Glad you guys have leads on investment!
I hope you still get to decide which way the game is going, and hope for you Rob that you will now have more time for yourself! ;)
It's a very good news, cheers!

Re: The Not So Official Dev Blog

Is it just me, or did today's new build bring a better car physics and smoother handling?
I had a lot of fun playing a bit earlier!

When i first heard this: Nixon - Simple Minds
I immediately thought about how good it would feel to play Grip while listening to it! 8-)

Re: GRIP 1.1.9 with MULTIPLAYER now on the Private branch!

I could only try the new update on a laptop, so it wasn't perfect to play correctly, but i already love the new Cygon Tempest! Pretty good handling for a tank car, i like that! Can't wait to be able to try this on my computer back home!

Re: All planets - environment inspiration

Well they were not extremely annoying, but i feel maybe the cars should be able to push them around a bit easier (not too easily though, they're not supposed to be light as feathers after all).
Plus if this structure was destroyed, there is always the path on the left that allows to avoid the debris.

Re: POLICE car: we need this in our lives!

Thanks Queadah for the video, it's pretty interesting! Just make it a hover vehicle This would feel too much like Wipe'Out", wouldn't it? imho if we have police cars, they should be the same kind of cars as the ones we drive ingame (ok everyone has understood by now that i don't like 3 wheeled ...

Re: All planets - environment inspiration

The debris were annoying indeed, but destroying the upper structure was pretty cool. Surely something can be done about this. In most games the debris just disappear after a few seconds, maybe it could be an option, so that they're annoying for people following right after the destruction, and disap...

Re: Idea for a track design.

I like that picture WROB3L, it could be a nice idea. Can't wait to see what Orbital Prime will look like. I'm hoping for something that would have a bit of a Coruscant or Hengsha feeling, with it's own identity of course. But considering what was done for the other planets, i'm sure it will be astou...

Re: Problem using a controller

Glad your problem is solved, but it's weird that you had to remap buttons, i don't remember changing anything about this. Anyway, the important thing is that you can now enjoy the game like you want to.

Re: GRIP Halloween update now in Steam default branch!

So: i reinstalled the "not early backers" version, and got to try the Halloween content. ;)
The track looks really nice with pumpkins and the new lighting, and the Vintek is great (but the Cygon remains my favourite car in terms of manoeuvrability).
Well done!

Re: GRIP Halloween update now in Steam default branch!

Is the patch only available for the public version of the game? It's set on "Private - early web site backers" at home and there is no update. :P
I guess i'll see about that tomorrow, it's time to sleep anyway!
But the new car seems really cool, and the halloween stuff as well! ;)

Re: GRIP Private Multiplayer testing is now underway!!

Re: GRIP Private Multiplayer testing is now underway!!

Yay that's great, and i'm sure a lot of people around here are eager to try that!
But for now, as far as i'm concerned, i cannot launch the game anymore with this patch. x)
Do tell me if you need more details about my config, in case it might be related to the game not launching.

Re: The mine indicator on the HUD: Keep it or kill it?

+1 for something not too invasive on screen.
It wasn't a problem at all to play without the mine indicator, and it could indeed be a nice thing to be able to disable it.

Re: The mine indicator on the HUD: Keep it or kill it?

What i found disturbing with the mine indicator is it should be small when it appears (when we're still far from the mine) and then get a bit bigger as we drive closer, up to it's actual size (but not bigger or it would be too much). I think this would be a good distance indicator, and not too visua...
