Warcage does sound rather good! If I do say so myself ;)

It places emphasis on the ‘combat’ and the ‘car’. This is, after all, a combat racer.

You could play around with weapon charge and cool-down time as a balancer rather than mess with vehicle speed and momentum. So you have access to a more powerful weapon but it ends up filling that pickup slot for a longer amount of time, decreasing weapon turnover as the balancer.

Queadah, these icons are awesome. I think you should have a shot at the disrupters icon... for me it’s not quite consistent with the others in the game. What do you think?

Of the two weapon modes one should be offensive and the other defensive? I.e. missle charged feature could be to drop a mine, hydra secondary feature might be to fire backward... the player would always have a natural choice based on their position in a race. I don't think a temporary loss of power is a fair metric to balance weapons Regardless of the suggestions in mind (everyone knows where I stand), I agree with this and it's the start of where I personally see the beginning of a problem. If the weapon charge mechanic is kept why not tie it in to the boost meter too? In this way it becomes a more organic mechanic. The vehicles boost meter charges and the boost meter can then be used to boost your vehicle OR ad charge to your weapons. Ad this cost benefit proposition and I'm more incl...

I think stacking and charging overcomplicates, leaning more to the unbalance, imprecision and unpredictabiity of RC2s system rather than the perfect implementation of RC1. I think the slow-mo should just be removed entirley - free up the button during play. Slo-mo doesnt really have a purpose in the game. And yes it can be confusing when you accidentally hit it. Would two mine variants make things interesting? I.e. one variant lies flat and has a wide area of effect so you need to launch over it (like a trip wire) and a second with a more narrow but tall vertical area of effect so it can’t be jumped. May over complicate but thought I’d throw it out there......
