_Integer_ ratio is key point

Setting upscale quality to use an inferior filtering method will only make it look worse. As in blurry and aliased at the same time. Thanks. I clearly understand what I’m (and other 1700 people ) requesting, what upscaling is, what Nearest Neighbour is, and how it is different from Bilinear. The KE...

Unreasonably blurry at integer scaling ratios (e.g Full HD on 4K monitor: 1×1→ 2×2 pixels)

I’m a 4K-monitor owner, but for performance reasons I use Full HD resolution. But then GRIP gets BLURRY. Visual quality is irreversibly lost. Unreal Engine has support for NONblurry scaling that can be enabled with the `r.Upscale.Quality = 0` console variable. Please provide a GRIP option for enabli...

Integer-ratio scaling with no blur would help

Nearest-neighbour scaling at integer ratios (2x, 3x) would allow to play with much higher performance and no quality loss at the same time.

For example, FHD-to-4K or qHD-to-FHD with image pixel as a square group of 2×2 same-color physical pixels, or HD-to-4K with 3×3.

GRIP for Linux for nonblurry scaling

I vote for Linux version of GRIP since nVidia driver for Linux supports nonblurry scaling using the “Nearest Neighbour” algorithm. At integer ratios, this algorithm provides perfect lossless scaling unlike ever-blurry bilinear scaling used in monitor- and GPU-powered scalers. That said, I would be f...

Re: Mouse cursor is invisible at 200%+ zoom in Windows 7

Another video by another 4K-monitor owner suffering from the bug: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZYKFm0I6OHE Looks like the `youtube` pseudotags don’t work on this forum, tried different ways to use them: ...

Support Nearest scaling — supported by Unreal Engine — for no quality loss at non-native resolutions

It would be nice for GRIP to have built-in integer-ratio upscaling with no blur. This would allow to play with no quality loss e.g. at Full-HD (1920×1080) resolution on a 4K (3840×2160) monitor for much higher performance . Let’s make GRIP outstanding. Unreal Engine the GRIP game is based on support...

Re: Mouse cursor is invisible at 200%+ zoom in Windows 7

Hopefully you’ll be able to prioritize based on importance and complexity . Unavailability of the game for 50% of 4K-monitor owners (this issue) is probably quite critical. Adding a proper DPI-awareness declaration (the second issue ) is not critical, but important in long term and trivial as long a...

No cursor at 200% — video

I recorded a small video showing the bug in action and added it to the starting message.

DPI-awareness workaround is used instead of proper manifest declaration

Summary For enabling DPI awareness, the GRIP game wrongly uses a registry-based workaround instead of proper manifest declaration. Such workaround is solely intended for OLD applications and should NOT be used for new applications written by developers aware of DPI awareness. Any workaround may eve...

Re: [BUG] Mouse cursor is invisible at 200%+ zoom in Windows 7

Windows 7 has basically the same HiDPI support as Windows 10. Please note that Windows 7 has almost the same market share as Windows 10. Windows 10 simply adds Per-monitor DPI awareness, Mixed-mode (per-window) DPI awareness, scaling GDI-rendered windows and (for end user) ability to override applic...

No mouse cursor at 200%+ zoom in Windows 7

Mouse cursor is invisible at zoom of 200% and higher in Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. This makes it almost impossible to navigate though the game menu and therefore makes the game itself unplayable. Please note the issue is specific to Windows 7 and apparently does not reproduce under Windows 10 on...
