Mid Air Adjustment / RCS / Sweet Flips etc.

So this may have been suggested or queried before, but I couldn't find anything with a quick search. The new multiplayer trailer launched recently, in it there are close ups of stabilisation / RCS type jets activating at an angle. So I think that being able to have a little rudimentary control over ...

Re: ---The Big VIDEOS Thread---

Here's a video of the Figure 8 map I recorded last night. (Launched with the options -ResX=1920 -ResY=1080 -FPS=60 the fps lock fixes the 100% gpu activity and stops v-tearing.) Nothing too exciting I haven't got a feel for the cars handling yet. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vPxNnvyEG2E

Re: Other fun old school racing games you have played

It's a little later on than DOS era but 2002 game Bandits Phoenix Rising had pretty good vehicular combat and i think there we're a few race/time trial missions thrown in the mix during the course of the single player. It had a really good music too a bit more Fatboy slim-ish / funk than true DnB, s...

Re: Rollcage 1 vs Rollcage Stage 2

I always enjoyed Rollcage Stage II more, it just felt more filled out and the overall visual design and environment fidelity is what sold it to me. That combined with the soundtrack on the ps2 version of RCSII! Not to say Rollcage 1 was inferior in anyway, hey I only got the sequel because the first...

I have to say the lineup is fantastic! New tracks made just for the game too, nice.

Re: Poll: Do you want "characters" as racers in Grip?

having characters in a game like this would personally ruin the feel for me, what rollcage stage 2 did made it feel like i was the driver and gave me a more real experience This /\ I want to feel like its me doing the driving and I pick the car I use. Changing 'character' to use different cars alwa...

Re: Poll: What kind of track elements would you most like to see?

Wow +1 to environmental hazards like sand storms or the old lightning strikes! :o EDIT: Also Alien UFO Sheep.... *Intrigued* EDIT: The possibility of racing through a war zone would be really cool too*, not only are you avoiding fire from the other racers, but also the cross fire of two waring facti...

Re: Poll: Damage or no damage?

I like that the cars are basically supersonic, indestructable tanks. Fits the whole "bringing down buildings by driving straight through their supporting pillars" thing ;) The respawning thing I am not a fan of. So +1 indestructable, -1 destruction to the level that requires respawning. C...

Re: Poll: What game modes would you like to see in Grip?

Something like the Scramble mode from RCSII would be great. If its less work than designing a whole bunch of tracks why not use procedural generation. You could then have a 'Daily' track. Everyone can have a crack at it once, with a best times leader board for each daily generation played. Good luck...

You might need an 'Other' section, or at least a 'Bacon Sarnie' option :D
