I use paddles to fire weapons as they are easiest to press whilst turning. I have top buttons either side on the front for reset and slow motion. I kinda figure setting any pitch to use same buttons as gas/brake would be easiest and most instinctive whatever the means of input. I thought I'd point ...

I feel the need to point out something thats relevant for wheel players like myself. I dont really know how I would set up any buttons for pitch, so unless you could do it so accelerate/brake were used for pitch I would be at a disadvantage. I am currently using x360ce to be able to use my Logitech...

I think roll does a good job right now, but we're thinking about pitch. Could very well help, but I'm not huge on the idea as it seems almost like cheating. Having bought into Early access I wondered how we will be informed of an update? Through steam? if you have have the game, then you can see in the main menu screen (on right side) there is a news/update section where supposed to be the updates/patchs notes. I didn't realise that was a live section....

The pitch control in Rollcage was quite weak and only really noticeable on Daytona. Adding it in GRIP wouldn't change much though, 'cause the reason most people crash upon takeoff is that they're rotation on the Z axis, so you'd need yaw control. Trees need to be destructible... nothing worse than a heavy chunk of metal hitting a tree at 750kph and being stopped dead in its tracks.

the only time this would be usefull is if you are in the lead and you get a shoot the leader missile.... which was annoying in Rollcage.

I Second that!

The position tracker makes no sense at all, the only time I can see it useful is to understand where other vehicles are in relation to you around your car.

Though the whole HUD is clearly early access state... it's as basic as it comes...

@apex - I'm not having a dig at the developer in anyway... Perhaps they could have the option to choose classic sounds and a combination?

One thing is for certain... the sounds were absolutely important to Rollcage and therefore Grip.

Why not use the same mechanic that was used in the original Rollcage.... you either fall off the side of the track and die in water etc... or the sides of the track are unobtainable because they are high sided walls.

The Turbo Boost Power up sound

One of the iconic things that sticks in my mind about Rollcage was the sound of the Turbo power up.

It's unmistakable and was the same in rollcage and in stage II

Can we have this sound but Enhanced for Grip??
