What about the name locking the mode? When you name your server "ClassicRacingX" the game can't be changed to anything else? Name won't lock the mode, but if someone wants just Arena, they can create "ClassicArenaX" and that be it. It's just to make it simple to join and get goi...

I like the idea of missiles being a counter for the Assassin and other missiles, especially when you can shoot them backwards. How about reducing the amount of grip the cars have because their active aero doesn't work any more? I don't think there's any active aero, but the EMP could affect the electromagnetic coupling of the wheels that could create a situation where the car starts to slide a lot more. First of all... bit of sim? What are you on about? What "simulator" have you played? A super light rally cars, with very short gear boxes, no electronical aids (they are banned in WRC and WRX), insane amount of torque and a lot of horsepower for the weight, and they have little to no wheel...

How about we keep the EMP function as is, except it doesn't bump or slow down the car, but instead makes the steering a bit twitchy and erratic (not by much). That way, the player can still go full speed if they feel lucky, or slow down a bit to be sure they'll make it through the time affected by ...

I'm personally torn, since the asymmetric design gives them more identity, but at the same time it drives me mad when the car is not the right way up for me xD

How about keeping the EMP and adding the Virus, but make the EMP disable the shield and the HUD along with disabling the ability to use pickups? I made perfect timetrial rounds without pickups on dominator and the results were worse by an average of 3 seconds, starting from the rightmost route, switching to the left after attaining the best possible time on each route. So to say the rightmost line was slower by 6-7 seconds, from the record....

Updated the first post with a new but similar take on the improvements to the map. Should be less taxing on resources and most importantly allow the reverse version to utilise the tunnel route.
