Re: Where are the intros?

WROB3L wrote:What happened with intros before the race?

Now that i see the camera pan with the cars again, that would be perfect in online (and maybe sp too) where you could see the player names and possibly avatar over their car as a short intro whos playing and where they are starting at.

Re: Anti-cheat

GRIP doesnt seem like a game that would attract a lot of hackers for me being a less known racing game than triple A shooter, but i dont know, maybe being able to cheat easier would bring more cheaters. My only experience with hackers is pretty much team fortress 2 where they are blatantly hacking w...

Re: Time warp

It only affects those in-range. Which makes more sense, in a technical view. But yeah I think there should be more power-ups affecting the leader in general. I'd actually prefer that. If you look at the thunder powerup in mario kart that makes everyone else tiny so you can catch up rest of the play...

Re: A different take on the leader missile.

To me it sounds like it could affect drivers behind 1st place and not just him, id rather have an item dedicated on slowing down the 1st place alone since once you get away from the rest of the racers youre relatively safe.

Re: Harking back to firebugs... teleporting portal

I think the weapon could work as a catch up weapon, so it would be handed to players in the last places more frequently and never to first - third (depending on amount of racers of course)

Re: [LISTED] Vehicle Stats

Id like the stats to have a visible number (with a bar propably) that reflects the internal values that the game actually uses and it would also make it easier to see when a car gets rebalanced how much the values would have changed.

Re: Monsters on track

for those of you that played MDK back in the days, there was an "organic" feel like that in some levels where you evolved inside guts ^^ oh man... a bit offtopic but that reminds me of the final boss in mdk2. i played that game when i was somewhat young and it made me feel uneasy at some ...

Re: Suggestion: Battering Ram

how about something like this, on activation the powerup gives you a holographic rammer on front and it gives you a burst of speed similiar to how booster worked in rollcage but it doesnt give you a lasting boost effect so it couldt be used as a mini boost. it would let you ram into people if you ma...

Re: More ambient / goosebumps soundtrack

I like this track, very atmoshperic. As much i like the current soundtrack a completely differend music style could bring variation, maybe not as a normal song you play while racing but for example in story mode you have some scripted event and the music fades out into ambience while a storm covers ...

Re: May sounds strange but......what if...."backwards mode"?

the car could toss the front wheels around to flip its direction but i dont think that kind of mechanism would work in grip, maybe in deathmatch mode where you dont drive laps

EDIT: i didnt notice the "while maintaining speed" part. Not sure how that would physically be possible

Re: GRIP Announced for PlayStation® 1 computer entertainment system!

polycount on vehicle is way to high for what the PS1 is capable of, also draw distance is way to high, like we will EVER get a draw distance THAT high. maybe on PS4 if there is one, but we all know the Ultra 64 will dominate the market just like the SNES did. sorry but the game would be way better ...

Re: push forward boost

Ive never heard of that, but then again i only played a few racing games all arcadey.
This reminds me of the wheelie mechanic in mario kart wii, with the bikes you can do a wheelie for a small speed boost but if someone bumps into you you stumble for a moment.

Re: Is Dreadtnought actually faster?

Yeah i feel like dreadnoughts better in recent patches, wasnt sure if that was just my imagination. Maybe if dreadnought had more weight it would stick to the ground more in small bumps/downhills and and that would help keeping up the speed. The downhill before the drop on transport is always akward...

Re: Is Dreadtnought actually faster?

Ok, so for those guys that keep saying the Dreadnought can't compete: https://youtu.be/r2kVrnqKHMc Not only am I leading by the end of the 4th (standard game length), but I stay there. The times at the end speak for themselves and as you can see, this was by no means a perfect race. i still hit stu...

Invisible wall in tunnel of alhatra wastes

In the splitting paths if you take the wallride into the tunnel at the end of that tunnel theres an insisible wall that you will run into randomly. It seems to be backwards so you can kinda drive tru it but i keep bumping into it when i try to take the path.

wantfastcars wrote:The Dreadnaught does top out slightly faster, it's just that it's acceleration curve is so slow that with our current tracks you'll basically never get there.

i assume if there was a track that was just a straight road forward, Dread would win there but yeah i think it deserves a little buff.
