Re: HUD talk!

I loved the minimalistic HUD of Dead Space: http://gotgame.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/DeadSpace2_Aug10_Screen08.jpg Having more information on screen, I like the way how Split/Second handled it: http://www.totallygn.com/wp-content/gallery/split-second/downtown_expressway_hud_01.jpg For me, track...

Re: Kickstarter cancelled - all hail early access!

I am hoping for a success of scope that Rocket League pulled off. Maybe it would help to get some youtubers on board. I imagine having piediepie streaming the game would help to boost sales. For these purposes, some "lol so random" moments could be purposefully hidden into the game. Ha, d...

Re: GRIP 2 (Joke post)

It needs to arrive with some crazy driving station, like this, but bigger and with super powerful hydraulics: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/37/Sparco_racing_kit_2001.jpg GRIP 2 will replace the whole OS during installation and essentially become your OS. It will come with integrat...

Re: Poll: Damage or no damage?

I am all for visual damage and flying parts. Maybe a damage meter, but not really cramping the driving experience, just a little. When the meter depletes, boom, off goes the car. This would be interesting in combination with lives system, like for multiplayer races, everyone gets just one life, so m...

Re: Environments

last few NFS games were like... you are the illegal racer, participating in races right under the nose of authorities. you have some weapons, like EMP and stuff. since the games were made by Criterion (guys behind Burnout), you were able to destroy your opponents. many times, cops ambushed the race ...

Easter Eggs

Any plans for Easter Eggs? If so, what are your ideas? Maybe the creative community here can contribute with something interesting, too ;) I was thinking something referencing to other racing games or cult movies would be lovely. Like a car from Back to the Future or Total Recall just sticking from ...

Re: Will it have potato support?

If you ever release a DOS version of (heavily chopped version) GRIP on several floppy drives, you'll be forever remembered for the best practical joke ever. And it would give my USB floppy drive a sense of purpose :D

Re: Kickstarter cancelled - all hail early access!

I can tell you that only a fraction of the Kickstarter backers converted to our pre-order campaign, and that we have just enough money to get this first version to early access. Thankfully we've had some good luck on our side in other areas I'm surprised that only a fraction of Kickstarter supporte...

I wasn't really sure where to put this topic so I put it here so feel free to move or delete (if this topic has already been raised elsewhere). Anyway, I was wondering what is being done to give a sense of scale in the game. One of the very few complaints I had with Roll-cage was the lack of a sens...

Re: Environments

I'd be up for an old destroyed 21st century city to race on. Ruins of Old-New York, Post Apocalypse London etc... This goes in hand with my post in grip gen thread about having some scale for the cars. but besides that though, it would be cool to race these machines around some contemporary scenery...

Re: Face-up / Face-down gameplay idea

While being FORCED to drive one way up/down, wouldnt be interesting, having tracks where there are say, mines by default on the main bottom field, so speeding/scaling up the walls to a magnetic ceiling as an option to mine dodging would be far more fun. Agree with this. OP's idea is nice, but IMO a...

OS X, Linux, Steam OS versions?

So, I've been thinking... Are there any plans for the game to be made also for OS X, Linux and Steam OS? Why I think it would be a good move: - when I am on the go, I use MacBook, and there are almost no racing games available - apart from Grid, Dirt and some old and/or bargain bin games - if you ma...
