Re: Making the game more accessible for new players

Yes, they'd probably do far worse. I mean skilled player giving an AI handicap of 10s at the start is not a good indication of how a newbie player would fare against such an AI. Yes, they'd probably do far worse. Do you mean that it would be useless to give handicaps to AI for newbies? That's how Ro...

Re: Tank class: 3 pickup slots °.°

I don't really like how one of them would be passive (buffer slot) while the other two are active (require a button press to work). I think if class specific features would be added you would want them all to be passive

Making the game more accessible for new players

While almost every negative review animadverts that the cars are impossible handle. I agree that cars don't exactly handle like in other arcade racers, but it also is what makes Grip the game it is. I think that if they had enough time to learn the cars handling properly there would be less negative...

Ghost jitter / tilting

Summary of the bug : with the current build the ghost in time trail seems to jitter quite a lot more than in earlier versions. it tilts like crazy. It worked almost perfectly with older versions. (No idea which ones though) Which version of Grip were you using : Halloween build When does this happen...

Dynamic resolution scale

A lot of games use this technique called dynamic resolution scale to ensure a high framerates, while also keeping the resolution as high as possible. It usually has a target framerate and will lower the resolution if the FPS fall below it for a certain amount of time . If more FPS than targetet can ...

Re: Suggestions for Yuri Insdustrial

I don't agree on the first and second. I especially love the corner in the second screenshot. I think the way to the upper path would be too easily to drive when this chokepoint would be opened up. Right now you can only go full throttle if you drive a very good line, if you don't nail it you have t...

Re: Problem using a controller

There now is a new beta client for steam that allows configuration of Dualshock 4 controllers to be configured just like steam controllers.
Since my Steam controller works fine with Grip I think the Dualshock 4 will too.

Re: My current Feedback (Wall of text)

Don't get me wrong, I want more tracks that require a good amount of breaking (thats why i love Industrials overall layout, it is nice and tight), but jumps aren't that predictable at the moment and I don't think they will every be. Sometimes the car randomly rotates into a direction while taking of...

Re: latest patch issue

Try this: Try updating to the latest patch for the game in Steam. The prerequisites for UE 4.12 were not being installed because the installer thought they had already been installed if you had a UE 4.9 version of the game beforehand. This has been addressed and updating should force the new prerequ...

My current Feedback (Wall of text)

While I love the overall gameplay of GRIP it currently gives me a lot of frustration when playing the game for more than three races and it is caused by a wide variety of things. This feedback includes feedback for the public and the private build. I wont say too many positive things, because this p...

Re: GRIP Halloween update now in Steam default branch!

new favourite car confirmed :D I think the stuttering might actually be a DCP latency issue. After windows decided turn bandwidth control back on again :x. I experienced this issue. Enabling it skyrockets my DPC latency. Disabling it again fixed it. Sourcengine games (CS:GO to be specific) a...

Re: The EMP

We should toy with how there's generally a few seconds anticipation before getting hit indeed. The cars handle like if you would brake normally for a short period of time when you brake with the handbrake. This time could actually be enough and if not there could be a short delay (0.2 seconds maybe...

Re: The EMP

I think the EMP is in a good spot in therms of how strong it usually is (its average effectiveness if you want to call it like that). It is just that it effectiveness goes from one extreme to the other and it doesn't have that "Oh sh*t, I got hit!" feeling the other items have. I think the...
