That's a really good point; I agree that the Assassin balances the race really well. It might do well to have the flares / swarm missiles only throw off normal heat-seaking missiles. It would makes sense, since the Assassin has much better tracking and would not be thrown off by additional heat sign...

Ok, that sounds good. I'm not asking for much -- literally just a check box when you start the campaign that prevents you from repeating races would be plenty.

I assume this is the track you meant. If so, yes, except this is what I meant by vertical.

And I think it would be nice to have one or two normal hairpins in the game, where you have to brake significantly to make the turn.

I also get an occasional random freeze of around 7 seconds, but it only happens on average about once per hour or two of gameplay, so I don't consider it a serious problem. Can we get an alternate route (or even a main route) that goes through a tunnel under the water? Also, when finished I think the track should have a lot of vegetation like trees, and even brush and grass over the track in places if that is doable.

I think this track would work well in either an urban, military, swamp, or industrial setting. I'd vote for urban, and make it at night, so that the illuminated floating platforms can really stand out. Sort of reminiscent of Coruscant at night in Star Wars Ep. 2.
