Re: Some weapons, especially mines are boring

I still disagree that mines are weak. Not only are they a prime weapon for discarding (for the purpose of powerup cycling looking for OP pickups like boosts and shields) but a lot of their strength comes from their ability to discourage people from taking a particular route - causing time loss with...

A coincidence indeed!!

Their title isn’t an ambigram though. Upside down it looks like it says ‘dub’... losers :)

Re: Three-wheeled cars?

Playabot, you don't define what GRIP is or should be. I also fail to see why you're so opposed to a 6-wheeler, whilst suggesting a 2-wheeler in the same post. Read the post again man... I say, I’ll roll with it - it reflects a thought process. Grips becoming its own thing. It’s growing up and out. ...

Re: Let`s make Drifting possible and skill based plox

Just wondering how the drifting modle is coming along lads, in terms of where its at from a technical standpoint to where its aiming to go. Are we able to get a definition of what 'powersliding' might be like in GRIP? I feel we're a little on rails atm, suffering from heavy under steer at high speed...

Re: Three-wheeled cars?

Due to the challenging physics in GRIP we have a number of constraints on the wheel configuration. The moment the vehicle becomes even a tiny bit unbalanced a lot of very bad things happen. Symmetry is really important, though we've been exploring ways of having a physics configuration for vehicles...

Re: New car, new track, new weapon, crash fixes, other improvements - GRIP v.1.2.5

Could Hydra benefit from a slight homing ability and slight ability to follow the curvature of the track, possibly bigger area of effect?

At present, opportunities for effective use seem limited...

Re: Thermophobia feedback

@Broscar Smugglers it is :) I've been revisiting Rollcage recently actually (on my PS2 and 4k 55 incher - still looks amazing) - the game can still kick my ass but there is some kind of magic there... It's hard to describe. Something about the way it straddles the line between control and being out ...

Re: Could assets from FIC and Atoll be combined to make a new track?

I just get the sense that the strat is to twist a re-use assets. I may be well off the mark but the new content we're seeing is reworked/reversed versions of current tracks. By no means a bad thing as it gets more content in the game and I'm not saying its the intent of the devs to have 2 tracks and...

Re: POLL: Let's talk about vehicle acceleration off the line and the ability to get back in the race

I think the acceleration is fine - closer to RC 1 than 2 which is a good thing. RC 2 is where things got toylike for me. GRIP is fast, and the vehicles get up to speed quickly. I think it's spot on - if anything I would like to see the handling loosen up to make drifting more a part of the game. Len...

Dude I feel the passion :) and don't let my comment stop your fight.

I wouldn't be opposed to two or three wheelers appearing necessarily - but I would want to blow the hell out of a three wheeler! I'm racest that way :P

Re: Could assets from FIC and Atoll be combined to make a new track?

Don't get salty, ofc I'm good with another decade! RC was released in 1999, that's 18 years ago. I'm fine with another decade (GRIP is basically our only shot at a RC revival in 20ish years). Suits yourself if you want it released in a rush next week. We don't have the same perspective, that's all ...
