I'm not a coder or anything but wouldn't higher FPS behave differently because of it detecting what you're impacting at a different point? I remember playing many games where you'd have to have at least 60+ FPS in order to clip onto certain pixel edges because having anything below it wouldn't allo...

Personally speaking, as a programmer, you'll want to get the handleing and physics nailed first then work on the AI, otherwise you could end up correcting AI behaviour due to the current issues with the physics at high speed, and have to uncorrect it later, making more work for yourself.

If that's the case you could go for a system closer to real life then, IE if your reeving too high when the lights turn green you'll wheel spin and get a slow start due to low traction. But if you have it just right you'll put the maximum amount of power you can into the wheel while keeping traction...

That interesting, I guess Dreadnought must be doing something special then, because it has an SLI profile that is using AFR2, and official profile. Well no worries, as I said, not a priority by any means :)

Not a priority, but it would be nice to have, especially for those of us that use stupidly high resolutions, I figured I would mention it now since I read in another thread your talking to NVIDIA about PhysX.

It's definitely getting there, frame rate seems to effect handling a bit to much but as a programmer that knows how physics works I understand why this is. A tighter turning circle at lower speed though, please god yes, I want to be able to turn around in a tunnel without hitting the walls :P

That's fair, in the originals the normal boosts still had a short delay before activation but the boost start didn't. There also the fact the format for the starting grid has changed it used to be a V shape, so if you boost started and someone else didn't you wouldn't hit them.

Same as in Rollcage 1 and 2, if you hit the accelerator the second the GO appears, you accelerate as if you picked up and used a boost pickup.
