Need help with 2-player splitscreen mode

Postby Ormgair » Thu Nov 30, 2017 12:53 pm

Hi! Think, I'm not alone with this problem. I've read some topics in which says, that for splitscreen mode x360ce is required. What exactly do I need to do in this soft? I set up buttons on gamepad, but it doesn't help. So, is it possible to play in splitscreen mode? If yes, what exactly do I need to do? And if not, would it be fixed in the next patch?

With the Best Regards,
Ormgair

To play splitscreen you just need two controllers and another person. The second one is optional :P

Was my fault, forgot to add x360ce to game directory :) Just in case, here is a small step-by-step instruction:
0. Download x360ce from official website: https://www.x360ce.com/
1. Put downloaded file to game directory. Something like this:

2. Run x360ce.exe,if promted, answer yes to create settings file
3. Connect your gamepad(s) and set up buttons:

3.1 I didn't find, where to change key bindings for Player 2, so if you too, just change Controller 2 setting in x360ce, if necessary. Here's default settings for my gamepad:
Spoiler: show
Accelerate - Button 8 (Right Trigger)
Brake / Reverse - Button 7 (Left Trigger)
Steering Left - Axis 1- / DPad1 Left (Left Stick Axis X- / D-Pad Left)
Steering Right - Axis 1+ / DPad1 Right (Left Stick Axis X+ / D-Pad Right)
Handbrake - Button 1 (X Button)
Use Pickup Left - Button 5 (Left Bumper)
Use Pickup Right - Button 6 (Right Bumper)
Reset Vehicle (hold) - Button 9 (Back)
Look Left - Axis 3- (Right Stick Axis X-)
Look Right - Axis 3+ (Right Stick Axis X+)
Look Back - |Axis 6- (Right Stick Axis Y-)
Camera In - DPad 1 Up (D-Pad Up)
Camera Out - DPad 1 Down (D-Pad Down)
Launch Charge - Button 2 (A Button)
Boost (hold) - Button 4 (Y Button)
Pause - Button 10 (Start)

4. Go to Game Settings tab. Here is my settings (not sure, that ticking all xinput files is necessarily):

5. Now you can close x360ce and run GRIP. Or just press start in Game Settings tab.
6. Enjoy! ;)
