Native Dualshock 4 support

Postby zuzuzzzip » Thu Dec 24, 2015 10:35 am

Hello,

I was hoping if you guys would check out if it's possible to implement native support for the Dualschock 4 controller?
Like in GTA V for example?

This would be awesome as I think it is a quick win and would lower the gap for many people.

Thanks!

I think they're planning on adding stuff like this, but there is DS4Windows, which sets your DS4 controller to use XInput, if you still want to use your controller in the interim.

This would make sense, as we're no doubt headed to PS4. DS4 support is something to be implemented, just can't give you a timeline yet

I believe Ubisoft games on PC also have native DS4 support.

I've got two USB controllers much like PS2 controllers. One's a Logitech F310. The other is a Steelseries 3GC with Vibration Feedback. What I'm getting out of this post is that the Rumble Feedback on the 3GC will work when the game's polished up a bit more. Is this correct?

Also, on the F310, should I set the switch on the bottom to XInput or DirectInput?
OK, tell it to me straight... in Rollcage Stage II for the PS1... was Winter Wonderland II even possible to Gold Medal...?

Retreating is Running Away. Falling Back, however, is simply Advancing in a Different Direction.

X-input for the 310, Direct input is generally for much older games.
