Digital/binary controllers priority

Postby rutra80 » Thu Oct 15, 2015 8:16 am

Hopefully a primary way to control GRIP will be keyboard or other digital/binary controller? That's how I used to play RC1 - with keyboard where there's either full throttle or no throttle at all, the same with turning and braking. Actually I'm keeping this 15 years old split-space keyboard because I'm used to have great control with it over RC1 and Worms Armageddon :D
Just do it the way you did in Rollcage 1

you can still do full braking/throttle with the face buttons on controllers...
the main pro on analogue is that you can steer much much better.
i recently moved from my old sidewinder gamepad to a x360 controller on RC1 and my times got so so much better.

Where can I find some record times? Would like to compare them with mine made on keyboard.

Ok I quickly tried a couple of tracks to compare with Cyberscore website and my times seem to be around the 7th. I can feel my fingers being more rusty than some years ago  I guess that if I dig out some times from older computers there would easily be some around the 5th-6th, maybe even better...
Would love to challenge you guys one day

As Yrch said, analog is the way to go to get the best control. Keyboard is just so much worse, and Rob would very much agree.

We will support keyboard, but we're not going to go out of our way to cater to it. That said, your experience with the game will be fun regardless of controller type
