Changelog for 1.0.6.0 is delayed

The changelog for 1.0.6.0 is delayed for a bit 'cause Rob is off doing important stuff.
Just telling you guys 'n girls that the devs are aware of it and that it'll be resolved soon <3

Can somebody explain whats the big work in writing down a changelog? Im of course not in game development but if youre releasing a patch you would normaly know whats in it. Or not?

OK i know theres most likly a lot of work at the moment and its a small team. But still ...

Massive amount of work right now Django. We're sorry we didn't have a proper changelist for 1.0.6 but it did not differ much from 1.0.5

We'll have a proper one for 1.0.7

Right now we're focusing on making the game actually play well, and getting the new version out ASAP

Youre aware that this argument can be turned in both directions, right? ;)


Sorry for me beiing a bit of a pain in the ass. Its just that ive seen patches without release notes on other early access games and it makes the devs look sloppy and a bit unprofessional. (not saying that you are!) If new players look at the newssection or somewhere and see there have been a lot of patches they will think "This project is very active. This team will finish the job."

And of course it also means that there is more precise feedback from the community. Less: "feature x was better before" "Weird, we didnt touched that."


I even would go as far as saying delay a stable patch half a day if that means it comes with documentation.
Even if others probably hate me now.

Yeah I get where you're coming from, and it is important, but this last patch was a bit different in that we've put in crazy long hours trying to just get it out there for the public release. From now on we'll have proper, easy to read patch notes for all the players
