4K compatibility

Postby WROB3L » Tue Oct 18, 2016 9:47 am

I was talking about it with Rob some time ago, but i would like to hear our forum users opinion on it.

What are the pros/cons of 4k?

*PROS*
-BETTUR GRAFX
-More clear effects
-Higher resolution (DUH!) which would give more space to work with on a screen

*CONS*
-Your Pc might explode
-Well that`s life...
-Textures would have to be reworked.

Personally i just built a new rig, and i would looove to play grip in 4K.
How hard would that be to implement?
FOR THE RAZIELIM!

And with a pot of F*ckedUppery
Powerful Cthulhu created me

One of the first players in Image 3rd or 4th. I dont remember xD

Not if the existing textures are high enough resolution on their own. Even when not, a low res texture will look better at 4K resolution than at 1080p. The only downside to higher resolution is always the performance impact.
