[LISTED] Scorpion missile : a visual indicator for being attacked

Here you give us specific suggestions on how you think the private release can be improved.

This isn't for bug reports, this is for features (example: wrong way indicator)

[LISTED] Scorpion missile : a visual indicator for being attacked

Postby Polar » Tue Dec 01, 2015 10:40 am

When you are getting attacked by a Scorpion Missile, you get notified with a warning sound.

I think that some kind of visual indicator should be added as well just to add clarification. It should be fairly simple to add this suggestion simply by making the HUD blink for example.

Please give your thoughts and suggestions for this topic.

Actually required as well for the few player that will be playing the game without sound (whether by choice or not ;( ).

I up this topic because it became even more relevant now that there is Splitscreen.

You have no way right now to know who is going to be hit - you or your friend ?

An additional blinking thing would be nice

It would be nice also if a missile logo appeared around your car (hud) that points where the missile is coming from. It would be a nice addition to arena mode, where missiles come in from all directions so you know where to hide

Visual Indicators

Postby PNDKetchup » Sat Feb 13, 2016 9:41 pm

Hey guys,

Sorry if this has already been mentioned, if so, please ignore this thread.

I was playing this game for the first time and I had to have the game muted so not to disturb anyone else in the room at the time, I realized very quickly that when a missile is locked on to the player, there was no way for me to tell that I was about to get hit, so I would just get hit at seemingly random with no time to plan a safer way of driving just in case I span out at a bad moment.

I'm assuming this will also be an issue for any potential deaf players that can't hear the missile beep.

I feel there really should be some visual indicators for things like homing missiles about to hit, rather than just sound alone.

I should add that besides a couple of small issues like these, thoroughly enjoying it so far.

Merged the thread into the already existing one ;)

Opponent weapon HUD pop-up

Postby omegalucas » Sun Apr 03, 2016 3:32 pm

I think it might be benefitial to gameplay having an HUD pop-up with the weapon(s) being used against you when said weapon(s) is(are) locked-on to your car.
Sometimes it's easy to confuse the alarms from the Assassin and Raptor.

This is a bit more general than the visual indicator suggestion thread, but similar.
Merging the two of them :)

I agree that there needs to be a visual indicator. Noted internally
