'Assassin inbound' warning message

Postby SuperLucas335 » Mon Feb 08, 2016 2:34 am

Exactly what the title says. It would be nice to know from the moment it is launched to know if an Assassin is coming your way. I think first, second and possibly third should get the message, in the form of a flashing orange and white triangle with the Assassin logo on it to flash below your beast. It should also be accompanied by a special beep (other than that of a Scorpion) to let the person know right away.
I made a basic logo so you can get what I'm thinking:

Any thoughts?

I think the HUD will actually be blinking. Red perhaps, or red for assassin and orange for scorpion ?
Blinking HUD would feel more natural IMO.

I would love to hear it actually, like the ai saying "Assassin Inbound" or "Warning! Assassin Launched" OR EVEN BETTER THIS xD

That's overkill, and a big distraction imo. Plus a HUD color code wouldn't mess with the audio that might get overhelmed with too many AI voicing.

hmm, but you could make an advanced option to switch between this, the sound version and both at the same time. Because the sound version can be anyoing playing local splitscreen multiplayer, because both players hear it. (my friends also complained about it while we tested the splitscreen mode)

It could be turned off by default in local multiplayer :D

A think a simple flashing exclamation mark on the left side of the screen would work well
