Information Request

Postby Falkerz » Sun Feb 28, 2016 3:22 pm

I was listening to the soundtrack from Rollcage Stage II on PC, and track 10 in the game music files always makes me grin...

For those unfamiliar with this particular piece, here's a streaming link. http://nd.in-quest.org/grip/Classic_Mus ... orners.ogg

For those a little more familiar, what are your thoughts on this track? Like it? Hate it? Can't stop laughing uncontrollably at how eponymous it is of the era wherein Rollcage was conceived?

And for the developers, such as CodeMonkey, Fate and the rest of the team; what do you know about this song? Are my suspicions of it being a team creation true? If not, then how did such a unique piece come to be?

I don't even need to listen to it, I know it's the "Missile in the corner" music :P

Yeah it's kind of crazy. I am very curious about this too.

Could someone write the exact lyrics ?
I'm not an english native speaker, so there are some parts that I just don't understand in the song..

Thanks :P

I'm working on it. Not easy though. Half the time they say 2 different things at once...

~EDIT: This is my first run through of this. It's not great formatting wise, and I know some of it is wrong. But it's the best I can get in a short time frame, and I'd need a committee to try and work out what everything is supposed to be.

I'm more curious on what kind of drugs they were on when they made that.
I didn't even know what was in the splatter pack before I bought it.

Alcohol. :P

I can't really offer any more insight than you guys into why the song exists but I'm guessing that at the least it's like the 'snar' cheat-code -- it's a developer easter egg where they just wanted to add their own little bit of fun to the game. Devs can have fun making games! It's true!

Heh.
