This is pretty awesome! That being said the community seems to be split on what to do..

This is still way better than the current mine indicator.
Maybe it could use a bit more animation speed, but otherwise I would 100% prefer that over the square we currently have.

I think the right choice is much better.
Left option annoys me is when the square gives the wrong depth knowledge and the eyes is very difficult to judge how far away it is.

I also suggest you to keep lines as thin as possible. Otherwise these will obstruct distant objects .

Honestly i dont really mind current "boxes". They have that military charm. All they need is some animations.

Would be also rad to have multiple hud versions for different car manufacturers. Your style fit Cygon. While Terra is fine with "boxes".


Thats just my opinion though.

+1 for something not too invasive on screen.
It wasn't a problem at all to play without the mine indicator, and it could indeed be a nice thing to be able to disable it.

I'm torn on this to be honest. With current implementation and visibility of the mines, a HUD icon seems to be necessary to be able to react in time to them. However that also means the mines become hilariously easy to avoid and they become effectively "trash" pickups, rather than anything truly useful.

I'd much prefer if the visibility of the mines, along with their detonation radius would get bigger (damage nerfed though), so they become more of "block the route"/"slow down enemies" rather than "destroy those behind you".

If there would be a perk system, the HUD icon could be one of those perks. Other than that, I'd really prefer better visibility of the mines in general above an icon that does the job for you.
