If we are discussing engine sounds for me either of these would be a must have. 8-)

i believe that these would go with the more slender shaped cars built for speed rather than strength

Indeed. Wouldn't it be fun to have different engines sound based on car type e.g Strength cars could have a V8 drag car like sound and Speed cars could have a high-revving F1 V10 engine sound.

there is only one engine sound that fits this game, and thats Batman TUMBLER!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8F9KgswPdso

the mix of a brutal V-whatever engine combined with turbo sound and high-tech electronic and jetengine and everything else thrown in is so perfect.
it sounds like a tank high-speed tank (basicly the tumbler is a high speed tank) just what GRIPs cars are :D

Bonus Funfact!:
A great part of The Dark Knight's tunnel chase scene was filmed with 1:3 scale models.

Bonus Funfact #2:
Yes, they built a drivable Tumbler for the movies, powered by a 500hp V8 Engine.

F1 sounding cars would need to be handled carefully, as the vehicle model would really have to suit the sound, and that may not end up working in GRIP's races, as these machines are supposed to take a hell of a beating. But it would be great to cater to all styles. Wouldn't be for a while until we start experimenting with that

That video is one of the first I ever referenced when talking about the engine sound. So you could say I also like it.

A lot of people saw the Tumbler on the streets here in Toronto when they were filming ;)

New engine sound? We're getting a different engine sound in the early access release that's different from the one in the trailers? :D :D :D

Damn, hearing those F1 engines makes me miss the sound of those old V10s and V8s. The current ones aren't bad, they just don't sound special like the older ones.

Yeah especially the V10's. I have experimented with adding and F1 V10 sound to Rollcage Stage II's cars I will upload a video soon.

... did anyone here ever play the original Rollcage games? I really don't know what they are going to use in GRIP as a theme but the original ones all had JET ENGINES strapped into those hulking metal beasts because it's the only thing powerful enough to accalerate those beasts. Or maybe my memory is faulty and it was only the last and best car you unlocked that had that... it had two jet engines, was frigging insaaaaaaaaaaaane!

But yeah, you're going to have to think bigger, like those guys strapping helicopter engines to trucks and pull massive weights kind of engines.
Like, check out THESE engines: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xfzXz8nOiK8 now you find me engines more fitting to mass and wheel than some of these and I'll eat my briefs.

Issue I have with jet engines is that you can't have them too loud otherwise it would be a pain in the ear. Too quiet and you won't hear much at all. As for F1 engines, they would be fitting for smaller cars that are fast but easy to punt around.
I didn't even know what was in the splatter pack before I bought it.
