Thanks guys!!
This time trying out an alien planet. The atmospheric composition gives it a yellowish-green tinge.
Tried creating some sort of alien architecture as well

This one is really amazing. It's reminding me a bit of RC2's Skyway environment, only a bit darker.

I would definitely love to see something like this in Grip :)
Because I'm even more boring than Broscar -> Rules of the GRIP forum

Sweet, the large field of view + narrow and streched path gives a good depth & immersion feeling.

All have distinct interesting aspects, can't decide which I like most... Just to make sure, I think we need moaaar :)

Very cool, although it's a bit beyond reality in terms of what we were thinking for environments. This is quite abstract in comparison to what we have. But if it was implemented to look like it had a purpose in the world, then something like it could work ;)

I really like the image though

No. I really like it too. And the R-3 and R-5. I love to see more unorthodox designs

How did I miss this thread? Anyways, love the images especially the sky way looking one. And the 3rd environment picture is really good. Could see a ruins type track in jahtra or even liddo 5. Also the skyway looking track gives me an idea for some sort of crazy abstract racing game.
I didn't even know what was in the splatter pack before I bought it.

I prefer the R2 and R5 models by far.

And mp4yne your images look great! The colours in the last one with alien architecture could fit Liddo5, in my opinion. ;)

R4 and R5 are my favorites. R3, IDK. I'm all for 'non-standard' features like whacko wheel layouts, but that one just seems like a physics nightmare lol
OK, tell it to me straight... in Rollcage Stage II for the PS1... was Winter Wonderland II even possible to Gold Medal...?

Hi GRIP racers! Hope everyone is doing great :)

Has been a while since I posted here. I've been trying out some designs for the racing suits that we can have for racer characters. This stuff is unofficial fan art. WIll work on character personalities as well, if time permits.

Art direction: Simply speaking, its a fusion between racing gear and space suit design.
Didn't know the direction that Chris wants to take these in the future [if we have racers], so I just chose a direction that made sense from the description of the world of GRIP.

Any suggestions/ideas/picks would be greatly appreciated, examples : go more sci-fi / more bulky/light/maybe vintage racing cloithing/go more alien, etc. Can be anything that you wanna see on your racers. I'll work on the popular suggestions.
I will also work on some of the cars that a lot of you guys had selected.

Thanks in advance and have a great one :)

THanks yellowquiet! A ruins type track sounds good - giant alien ruins, can play a lot with the scale as well.

Now that's Contributor suggestions :)
Whether this path will be followed or not, I dare throw my 2 cents, as you request.
  • Perhaps a grittier/darker/more menacing tone?
  • 2 legs and 2 arms is fine for Terra drivers I guess, but otherwise it's so cliché if you know what I mean ;)
Thanks for the designs mp4yne, those can be a true starting point for sources of inspiration.

THanks! Will try more gritter, menacing looks :) If you wanna throw in some references from me, that would be cool too! Just saying :)
Will try some aliens too, but wanna avoid the cliche you mentioned

Anyone else notice the chick on the left's got heels on? IDK about you but I don't think heels would be wise for piloting these multi-ton monsters, unless they operate mostly with hands rather than with 'pedals' lol

I'm not complaining, just pointing that out.
