A "paradise" track for grip

Postby Mik1 » Wed Feb 03, 2016 4:34 am

I feel that currently all the tracks are more or less for advanced players, i love the new track (transport) and the recent update made it even better but even that one has obstacles you need to avoid.

Maybe after tweaking the maps currently ingame a beginner map that you would play as your first track in the easy league could be added. Im not sure if any of the current ones are meant to be like that but for the beginner track im imagining something that would be.... well paradise

A track with no sharp turns and only small and slow elevation changes, and maybe an optional wallride with powerups placed on it to hint the player that driving on the walls is possible too.

EDIT: as for advanced players, it would also serve as a speed junkie level where you can just enjoy the ride at max speeds you can reach
EDIT 2: Just to clarify, by "paradise" im talking about the 1st track you play in rollcage campaing.

So, a hollow donut? :)

I actually like this idea. I'll bring it up with Chris - can't make any promises though.

A proper track with soft turns and some uphill + downhill, but no sharp turns or obstacles and a wallriding part or possibly a tunnel along the way.
thats how i personally imagine it.

Science WINS again!!!
Then they opened a portal to another dimension and kidnapping the locals.
The pissed locals are head enough and strike back.

You know that if we're going to get a Paradise level people are going to demand a Daytona level.

...

...

Okay. -I- am going to, because that level is my favourite one >_>

edit

Saying that, the Outworld tracks on Stage II were all pretty good too.

A lot of people are pretty fond of superbowl. You can expect a similar track in GRIP

But Mik's suggestion of a truly beginner level is a great idea, and shouldn't be too hard to make. We could have one of those for each planet

The idea actually originated when i imagine a lot of people play yuri industries as a first track and its a bit much for anyone playing for the first time.

I've labeled the track as "hard" now, so that should help

Nice! I love all this! I especially love having a super simple bowl to floor it in. Not sure what the eventual customization of the cars will be, but I really like the idea of having a clean test area to check out different car set ups.
