Hey guys, sorry to dig out this thread but i'd like a little more informations about this.
My gameplay video of GRIP features the in-game music. It has been detected, but the video have been monetized by the music's copyright owner.
I didn't wanted my video to be monetized, so having it monetized for the benefit of someone else isn't something I'm confortable with.

Can I contest this situation ? (As I've bought the game, I thought I had the right to use its music in its gameplay video without being indebted to anyone)
Or is it normal ?

Thanks =)

I really don't know much about Youtube copyright procedures. We licensed the music for our game, soundtrack and any promo material associated. But there's nothing mentioned about players posting content. I think the licenser can do what they want in that respect. What song is it?

It's "Solidify - Revaux".
If the licenser can do whatever he wants with user created contents, isn't it a problem ?

I mean, if it's the case, anyone streaming / creating YT videos about GRIP will disable the music to prevent that....

From what I understand about game soundtrack copyrights is that you can use game soundtrack for that certain game without issues, so that's pretty weird.
