Here is an idea that maybe will be useful.

How about adding an announcer to the game. It really adds to the thrilling racing/battling experience when someone comments on your actions, praising your achievements or mocking your defeat. It can really complement the overhaul futuristic setting.

Especially in the sanctioned stadium-esque environment I thought up, having an announcer commentating on race events as it happens would sound pretty amazing.


....... Not to mention those funny hidden messages that are in RC1 that you can enable for network play. Very naughty, ATD. Very naughty indeed.

While I'm not particularly drooling over the idea of an announcer. If there was one I would prefer it to be an in-car AI voice, like Jarvis.

That said, it's hard not to make it incredibly annoying.

Yes to an announcer but not for every track and if you can disable it. It should be used only in arenas/stadiums.

Sounds great! Maybe he could only say stuff in the beginning of the match and how much players are left? Wouldn't be too annoying I think

At the very least, having a voice over say the weapon you've just picked up would be nice. Wipeout does it and it helps having a little audio cue in addition to the symbols when stuff gets a little hectic.

We'll think about more audio cues, but the new HUD should be better for identifying weapons and power-ups.

As for announcer, that could be cool in arena if done well, but in a race might be out of place
