Vocals in the Grip Soundtrack?

Postby Tiakh » Tue Dec 01, 2015 8:56 am

Hey, i really like the soundtrack how it is, but ive been wondering, whether there will also be songs with vocals? like in the rc1 soundtrack, e.g Fatboy Slim with Love Island.
I would enjoy hearing some songs like this.

My guess is that this is completely up to the music artists at this point. Unless the dev team requests it from them, we will probably just have to wait and see.

Yeah, sorry, no vocals. I think they'd take away from the atmosphere. GRIP is supposed to be gritty and intense. No room for singing :P

However, once the jukebox is implemented, you can play anything you want

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? It's a big metal beast!

Seriously though, looking forward to hear what kind of gold nuggets we'll have in the game OST! ;)

Hey, I liked that song!!!

I don't think vocals would be a bad thing, if it was tailored for the game.
Still it would need to have the right vibe coming from the vocalist, but theoretically it's possible.

I think the vocals kinda fit for formula fusion.

Personally, grip doesn't seem like the right kind of game for any OST vocals. The only type of game that is capable of that is something like Jet Set Radio. I can't really think of any other game that really uses vocals in their OST

i was just curious, cause i liked the ost of rc1. it had some small vocal parts and i thought they fit pretty well. it created a different atmosphere then in rc2 (which ost is also great).
But im fine as long as it is drum and bass and they suit the track theme.

Haha that would be fun, but it would definitely NOT suit the game! :')

If by vocals you mean gunfire and explosions then you are correct.

Can't wait to listen to 90's eurobeat and totally ruin the mood.

Love those Initial D songs :) But I would get angry if they put something like that in GRIP hahahaha A well made soundtrack that fits the game is something really important for me!

Imagine a Initial D game with a heavy metal soundtrack and not Eurobeat :(

Vocals aren't bad but this song is too slow at the start, check this:
