Share your rigs!

Postby KazzyMac » Sat Jul 04, 2015 8:41 am

As the thread title implies. Let's see what sort of #PCMasterRace computer/gaming setups the wonderful community of Rollcage and developers of Grip have fun with. And this is also because the signature character limit is too small.

This might actually be useful for future reference for when playable builds of the game come out and we start having hardware-related problems :P No bragging plox. This isn't to try and be all "My computer's better than your computer!" immature size-comparison stuff either, so yeah. I also fully expect there to be some crazie who plays Rollcage and Powerslide on a server computer somewhere. :P

Come on guys, be serious. Rob and Chris are going to probably need to know the specs of those potatos and toasters if you two start running into trouble running Grip, you know.

1000w for serious toasting power.
2-slice model, because 4-slice models aren't stable enough for me yet and they 'cause a lot of microcrumbing.
Aluminium case polished to a mirror finish with zero leds, because I've reached the age where one realizes that having loads of leds on your rig isn't cool.
Dedicated frozen button to toast frozen bread. Unlocks the full capabilities of the GTX 480 within. Rarely used, as it's known to start house fires.

PS: I know. I'm a casual b*tch for buying an off-the-shelf toaster instead of building my own.

Sound Card: Asus Xonar Xense
Headphones: Sennheiser PC 350 Xense Edition

OS: Windows 8.1 Professional x64
IO
Keyboard:
Razer Lycosa
Mouse: Logitech G502
Surface: Razer eXactMat
Gamepad: Logitech F510

My last upgrade was my GPU which paved way for me to be able to upgrade my monitor. I currently have my eyes on the ASUS MG279Q 27" 1440p gaming monitor. Then next on my wishlist is a Corsair K70 Mechanical Keyboard (Cherry MX Red), 32GB G.Skill RipjawsZ Series DDR3 1866MHz RAM and a Corsair H100i GTX CPU Cooler. I don't really need the latter but I definitely want it for its aesthetic appeal over my current cooler, not to mention I'm sure there is some untapped potential to be gained if I take my CPU up to 5GHz.

Mine is upgraded HP Compaq Elite 8300 SFF, running:
Intel Core i5 3470 (3.2GHz)
ATI Radeon 7750, 1GB GDDR5 - low profile version from HIS
16GB DDR3
1TB Western Digital HDD
240 Watt PSU (yeah, I know...)

Performance limited by the PSU and form factor, but I love how compact it is.
