1.2.9 performance, Phenom 2, R9 270x

Phenom 2 1090T @3.8Ghz, 2.4 GHz CPU/NB
8gb DDR2 790MHz 5-5-5-15
MSI R9 270x Hawk (results are done on stock 1150/1400), Adrenalin 18.6.1
win10 x64

Shadows and Effects on medium, textures high (looks like game can run be run at 2 gb VRAM on epic), rest on epic

Additionally, I disabled DoF and reduced shadows rendering range in Scalability.ini (if someone is interested, ini files are located in "%localappdata%\grip\saved\config\windowsnoeditor\") Eye adaptation should not affect performance, it is just personal preference

Some additional results, all on transport.
Also, CPU is now at 3.6 core/2.4 CPUNB because of heat produced and it should not make any difference for transport at least

First, I want to start with some screenshots for shadow quality comparison:

If you compare this screenshot with medium shadows with cascades 4, it is clear that quality is not the same. This is ultra preset but with shadow quality 2 (default for medium) with RadiusThreshold, istanceScale and TransitionScale from medium settings. Cascades could be different since when set on 4, line does not get removed in scalability. UE4, engine with many hidden settings


Now lets go to results (compared to results from first post, textures are on epic)

Now, from all of these results, minimums are probably not representative since that is usually fps on starting line with 9 AIs.
From actual racing performance, default epic shadows can cause drops into 40 while edited ultra do not in my case at least. As far as shadow quality difference goes, screenshots are posted and maybe devs will consider adding some more options in-game (it would be nice feature even if some of these things can be changed thru ini files)
